From global growth to personal moments, Andy Moss reflects on 2025 at Send

What a year it’s been for Send! As we enter the final days of 2025, I wanted to take an opportunity to reflect on a year of highlights, milestones and growth for our team, and thank those who have been part of shaping another fantastic year. More than anything, this year has reminded me just how special the people behind Send are.

I’m really proud to say that this has been a record-breaking year for new implementations of the Send Insurance Platform. We’re now working with carriers in the UK, Europe, the United States, Canada and Mexico, growing our international footprint and establishing our reputation in new territories. We’ve processed over $26bn GWP through the platform and are proud that so many leading carriers choose us to help them navigate complex risks.

We’ve embraced new strategic partnerships and strengthened many of our existing ones – tech, data and delivery. Here I’d like to recognise the fantastic work of Auxo, AWS, Decerto, Deloitte, Sollers and VegaIT, who have been instrumental in helping us scale the Send platform, strengthen our capabilities and complete speedy implementations for our customers. We’re grateful not just for your expertise, but for the way you show up as true partners.

It’s also been a year of positive change internally. I’ve been really pleased to strengthen our executive team with the addition of Dan Pass (CTO), Laura Wathen (CFO), Steve Ritchie (CRO) and Will Sparkes (CPeO). I firmly believe we have the right people in place to take Send to the next level, ensuring our business can meet and exceed our ambitions, and our customers’, over the next few years.

We’ve also strengthened our commitment to providing our customers with excellent service, throughout their relationship with us. We launched a new Customer Experience Function, headed up by Tash Bond, and supported by Naynesh Patel. Both Tash and Naynesh have been with Send for many years and are fully committed to helping our customers get the best value from Send

Our New York office opened earlier this year, and we now have a 14-strong team on the ground delivering our platform to carriers in the Americas.

On a personal note, it’s been a year of travel. As we grow internationally, we believe it’s important to be present and take the time to meet our customers face-to-face, building strong, long-term partnerships. Travelling to the US for ITC Vegas and WSIA provided me with a wonderful opportunity to connect with customers and spend more time understanding their businesses and goals. Back in London, our Summer party was another personal highlight, our chance to celebrate with good food, good drinks and great company.

However, this year also brought moments of real sadness for us as a team. In November, we lost our dear friend and colleague, George Cruickshanks. George was deeply loved at Send, and his kindness, humour and impact on those around him will stay with us for a long time. Our thoughts remain with his family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

The market in 2025 and beyond

Turning to the market, in conversations with carriers this year, one theme kept coming up: carriers looking for ways to integrate the many point solutions on the market into one, simple, AI-driven, data-focused platform. I think there’s increased recognition that, though there are incredible solutions out there, built to support ingestion, pricing, and data, for example, these must be connected via a solid spine, underpinning the whole process. An orchestration engine that unifies data to accelerate decisions.

While the adoption of AI – particularly Generative AI – continues to accelerate, a mid-year report from MIT’s NANDA (networked Agents and Decentralized AI) initiative found that only 5% of organisations have successfully deployed AI tools at scale. Despite an estimated $35-40 billion invested by US companies, most have yet to see meaningful returns.

I think there’s an important lesson in these findings, and one we must take into 2026. It’s easy to get caught up in the AI hype cycle. We hear promises of enormous efficiency gains and the opportunity to leverage AI for organisations, but in reality, only a small percentage of these projects drive value at scale. Experimentation with new AI tools is fantastic, but without considering how to effectively implement these into real-world workflows, the whole will never be greater than the sum of its parts.

At Send, although we’re enthusiastically exploring the potential of AI for underwriting, and in particular, Agentic AI, we’re very mindful that these solutions cannot be deployed in isolation. We’re building for the long-term, laying the right foundations to enable businesses to experiment with AI and realise tangible value more quickly. We believe that getting these ‘brilliant basics’ right with a strong, auditable framework is the fundamental key to success.

So how do we top 2025?

2025 firmly cemented my belief in our team, our mission and conviction that underwriting is ripe for innovation. Send has reached a new level of maturity, emerging from the year stronger, more unified and committed than ever before.

For me, 2026 is set to be another year of growth. We’re hiring across a number of roles in the UK and US, and we’re committed to increasing both our delivery speed and the breadth of our product capabilities for carriers, MGAs and reinsurers.

As the insurance market continues to soften, our customers will face increasing pressure to deliver profitable, sustainable growth. In 2026, that growth will be driven by more data, greater automation and continued AI innovation.

We’re ready for it. We know insurers want to work differently – and so do we. Send will be right there, continually evaluating our customers’ needs and our platform to ensure we’re delivering solutions to the challenges of tomorrow.

As we celebrate the end of another year, I’d like to express my deep gratitude for our hard-working team. Every single member of Team Send is aligned with our goal to transform underwriting, and demonstrate this dedication, day in, day out – I’m so proud of what we’re achieving, together.
