InsurTech Send announces senior hire for North American expansion

January 24th 2023 – Leading InsurTech Send Technology Solutions Ltd (Send) has appointed its first dedicated North American hire, New York-based Charlie Riley, as part of a planned NA expansion to support property and casualty underwriters.

Charlie has been appointed as VP of Marketing, North America following a $10m Series A funding round in November 2022. His focus is on bringing Send’s advanced digital Underwriting Workbench to insurance carriers, MGAs and specialty insurers across US, Canada and Bermuda.  Charlie has over twenty years of proven experience supporting the growth of scale-up businesses, including four years leading the marketing and sales operations for top 50 independent broker Lawley Insurance, and as VP of Growth for cybersecurity insurance business Havoc Shield.

Send’s core product is a SaaS underwriting workbench designed to streamline operations, automate administrative-heavy tasks and free up commercial underwriters to focus on core work. It is a one-stop desktop for underwriters providing a single place for managing new business, renewals, and endorsements.

The modular platform, built for the P&C and specialty markets, already processes over $4bn in GWP annually.

Send co-founder and CEO Andy Moss said:We are committed to bringing our award-winning Underwriting Workbench to the North American market as we’ve seen how much value it can bring to carriers and specialty insurers.  Charlie knows the key challenges underwriters face on a day-to-day basis and has a skill for helping them to realize the benefits of investing in the tools they need to write better, more profitable business.”

Charlie added:

“I’m excited to be joining Send at such a crucial time in the business’s growth. The NA property and casualty market is ripe for underwriting innovation. I believe the Underwriting Workbench Send has developed is unlike anything else currently available to underwriters in the market, and I’m looking forward to supporting customers with their digital evolution.”
