Send appoints Shelley McCormack as Chief of Staff to accelerate growth

20 May 2025 - Leading Insurtech Send Technology Solutions Ltd (Send) has promoted Shelley McCormack to Chief of Staff to help drive the company’s international growth.

Shelley originally joined from Aviva, where she was the programme manager overseeing the implementation of the Send Underwriting Workbench in Global Corporate and Specialty. During her time working with Aviva, Shelley played a pivotal role in working with the business to transform underwriting operations, including launching Send’s solution to streamline the quote-to-bind process for the underwriting team.

Since joining Send, Shelley has led delivery, customer success and strategic project functions, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the business and its growth ambitions. As Chief of Staff, reporting to Send’s co-founder and CEO Andy Moss, Shelley will drive cross-functional collaboration, support strategic growth with customers and partners, and help maintain Send’s market-leading position as it scales internationally.

Andy Moss, Send’s co-founder and CEO, commented:

Shelley has first-hand experience of all the pain points underwriters experience in their day-to-day life. As a former customer of Send, she also knows how transformational the right technology solution can be for a business. She’s spent the past five years managing the strategic development and implementation of the Send Underwriting Workbench. This experience, combined with her in-depth insurance knowledge, makes her the perfect person to support our growth objectives as we develop and strengthen our international business. I’m excited to see what we can achieve with Shelley in this key role.

Shelley also commented on the strategy, stating:

I’ve had the unique opportunity to experience Send from both the customer and company side, which gives me a valuable perspective on what our customers need to succeed. At Send, we’ve built something that truly meets the needs of modern underwriters, and I’m proud to have played a role in that. In this new role, I’m looking forward to connecting the dots across teams and helping to turn strategic priorities into meaningful outcomes for our customers as we scale internationally.
