Send poised for accelerated growth with PwC Scale InsurTech programme

11 May 2022 – Leading UK InsurTech Send Technology Solutions Ltd (Send) is one of just fourteen international scale-up businesses selected for PwC’s Scale InsurTech programme launching this month.

The programme, now in its third year for InsurTech businesses, identifies high-potential scale-up InsurTech businesses, supporting them to raise their profile, identify new commercial opportunities and prepare for fast scale-up with the support of PwC’s own expertise and that of their leading corporate partners.

Send was one of over 1,150 businesses initially screened for the programme, and was selected following a successful pitch, demonstrating a robust, scalable business poised for rapid growth.

As part of the 12-week programme, Send has the opportunity to pitch its SaaS underwriting platform for re/insurers and MGAs to global business leaders from across PwC’s big brand network, build powerful business opportunities, and benefit from masterclasses on scale-up success delivered by experts.

Send has already experienced rapid growth since launching in 2017, and this year extended its reach internationally, adding specialty lines underwriting business, Bowhead Specialty in the US, as well as a major reinsurance business based in Bermuda.

Commenting on the programme, co-founder and CEO Ben Huckel said:
“We are excited and proud to have won a space on this internationally recognised programme. Send has had an incredibly successful few years with some high-profile client wins, team expansion and the continued evolution of our market-leading Underwriting Workbench platform. Working with the team at PwC and having the chance to get our business in front of a network of established industry leaders will help take our business to the next level.”

PwC Scale InsurTech Programme Lead, Fanny Vingerhoets added:
“We’re delighted to have Send as part of our 2022 Scale InsurTech cohort. Their advanced AI-enriched platform addresses a number of underwriting challenges we see in the market, and empowers insurers to automate and streamline their operations.

The PwC Scale InsurTech programme has been incredibly successful in accelerating the growth of some of the industry’s brightest scale-ups by combining cutting-edge technology with networking events and best practice, we’re excited to see what this year’s cohort will achieve.”
